I ordered a 2022 Yukon Denali. I figure if I'm going to buy one more all gas vehicle I may as well make it one that gets the minimum MPG possible. 2-6 months to get it so gonna be awhile. Got $32k for my 2017 Armada which currently has 51k miles with the agreement I'm obviously going to put more miles on it in the coming months which seems fine. Having to pay MSRP on a sled feels bad but what can you do right now.

Did you consider Cadillac?  The new Escalade is getting rave reviews.

I want it to be fancy without it screaming at people about how fancy it is.

I rented a 21 Tahoe with the premier trim for vacation this year and my wife became convinced we needed a Tahoe or Denali. Talked her into the Cadillac XT6. Has all the bells and whistles but is smaller and gets better mileage.

Yeah that is fair, also looks like the caddies are about $15,000+ more which I was surprised by.

Just went past 160K on my current everyday driver. It may get passed on to my high schooler soon.

I had a really nice joke about fitting lil sd, his bros, a jugs machine and $3500 worth of bats in there whenever they want to go mash typed out last night, then deleted it.

Btw, getting a tricked out Yukon/Tahoe when all the other suburbian parents are in luxury suvs is the kind of Meade/western KS power move I expect from a true Buffalo.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

SD, do you rack up mileage on these new sleds or use something different for you daily driver? How often do you cycle between your new “good car” rides?

I only have one car and wife has one. she drives a lot of miles to work and back. I don’t drive much these days since I work from home. Mine is sports hauler and road trips though. I get a new one every 5'ish years no matter the mileage.

Also on that note I have never understood the not putting miles on your new vehicle. My brother in law has a GLS and rents an SUV when they take road trips to like Colorado. You bought that thing to drive. Not to save. It’s not a Mike Trout rookie card.

I have recently fallen totally in love with the Kia telluride. I think that will be what finally tempts me to give up on the Ford family.

you know what are annoying? all of those roof racks that every single vehicle has these days. you've never put anything up there in your life Gary and you never will. you're not fooling anyone.

It’s got that classic blockier look that I love. The Koreans are making pretty slick rides these days between Hyundai and Kia (owned by Hyundai). Both the Telluride and the Hyundai Pallisade are great. Slight nod to the Telluride imo. Only thing it needs is the panoramic moonroof

I was wrong. New Tellurides have the panoramic moonroof!

Let’s talk instrument clusters. Anyone else prefer old-school style meters for speed, gas etc.? Not a big fan of giant screens in the dash in the first place. Even worse when the cluster is a giant screen as well.
