more than likely i will get mine from a bmw dealer in california and just have them ship it sight unseen

That sounds like a pay sticker transaction - Did you buy your M3 new?   Finally, you should live dangerously and get a quadrifoglio #yolo

may begin to experience higher than normal oil consumption if they have regularly been revved hard with a cold engine using low-quality gas

sounds like mrs emo....

She only ever uses top tier gasoline.  Having previously worked in the industry she's a gasoline snob.  It's an issue, they have admitted as such.  I believe there was even a class action.

Just last month got rid of my 2002 Chevy Prizm w/ ~130k mi for a 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback w/ 20k. Prizm was great - everyday driver for 13 years with no engine or transmission problems. Fingers crossed the hatchback is the same.

I think I started an early midlife crisis. Been checking dealer inventory on these.

1. Ford Focus RS
2. Subaru WRX STI
3. Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Getting premium gasoline is a waste of money according to an article I read, and my gut instincts. Is there any reason to use premium in a Honda?

According to a scientific study I read an article on, the only time it makes a difference is if you (1) have a high performace engine that is (2) operating under high performance conditions. Otherwise, no measurable difference.

high compression engines need it to perform, but modern engines have computer controlled timing that will let you burn lower octane without any damage

My wife's old X5 would flip out if you put regular 87 in there.  Basically would shut down like she was out of gas.

Read you owners manual. If it says recommended you don't HAVE to have it but if it says required you do.

Is it bad when my Lambo just shuts off while I'm driving it?
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.
