Two things.   First, they so routinely have a great seed, that it's kinda hard to hold it against them (maybe throw out the times they were beat by a 1-4, because that isn't much of an "upset" really).   Second, that shame is really on this crap conference....we all own that one for our part in inflating their record.

1) Ku started 2nd half on 20-8 run. That included 6 lucky points via a 3pt bank shot and Seldon 3pt play off top of backboard.   The other 31 minutes, Nova held them to 39 pts in 49 Poss and +17 on the scoreboard

2) After Seldon "Lucky 3 pt play", all the momentum was with Ku.  Up 5 with 11 to play.
Nova scored on next 7 Poss with 3 ORs, 16 total points (56-52 nova). And then they held Ku scoreless next 3 Poss

** Nova was better team.  They got outshot by 8% eFG but hit 18-19 FT ( 44-49 last 3 games) and were +9 on the TOs.

By seeding, Ku got knocked out 2 rounds early in 10' 13-15'. 
They were a 1 seed and lost to an 11 seed in Elite 8 in 2011
They were #1 overall seed in 2016 and failed to reach F4 (last 4 had reached F4)
They also lost in 1st Rd as 3/4 seed in 05'/06'

They can seriously be thankful Memphis choked away 9 pt lead with 2:10 to play in 2008.  Without that choke, their fan base would be in so distraught. 

07 and 09 they basically played to their seed... Lost as 1 to the 2 Ucla in Cally region 2007 , and lost as 3 to 2 seed Sparty in 09

Self lost to lower seeded team 9 of last 12 years. Coach K also 9 times.... But not since 2005, LOL!!!

According to the seed, they have lost 2 rounds early 6 of 12 years.  This includes 3x not making the 2nd weekend as a 1/2 seed and losing 1st game twice as 3/4 seed

07 and 09 they did fine and what was expected

2008 they beat 9,12,10 seeds to make F4. But beat Two 1 seeds even if Memphis did choke
2012 they should have lost to 10seec Purdue in 2nd Rd. They didn't. Won every close game. Lost to juggernaut UK team in title game

Nothing bad about making Elite 8 as 1 seed, but losing to 11 seed in 2011 really irked Ku fans
Made Elite 8 this year too as 1 seed. But most "overall #1 seeds" make the Final 4.  Ku 2010 joins Ku 2016 as Overall #1 seeds that don't make F4

Here is a stat I would like to know (and probably start circulating, if it comes out as I expect):  Ku has won the big 12 twelve straight years, but in how many of those years were they the last big 12 team alive in the ncaa?  Off the top of my head, I can only think of three years where that has occurred.

We agree KU didn't play well tonight however, if someone can explain how Graham was correctly called for tripping that would be spectacular!  Also, how about the lack of travels called by the officials (on both teams).  The foul discrepancy i.e. one team having many more fouls than the other. The mugging of Mason at the end of the game, not called, etc... We are not blaming the loss on the officials but the officials played a part in the outcome and that shouldn't be the case - they shouldn't "decide" who will win the game!
