Beane saved so many games in 92-93. There was a 45 second shot clock then, and the offense often involved running clock for 30-35 seconds then going 1-4 low and letting Beane drive and kick to Jackson, Ski, DC or AC.
The next year, we never really replaced Jackson or Collier. Belvis and Demond Davis had potential, but they were raw JUCO athletes. Also, the shot clock changed to 35 seconds which hurt Altman's ball control offense.
