If you recall a few weeks ago, I posted something floating the idea of having a GPC get together. When I did that, one of my friends who is a manager at Hooter's called me and said that Hooter's would love to host us and could provide free wings.Now, this same manager (a big KSU guy) had contacted me a couple months earlier and wanted some suggestions on how to attract KSU fans to Hooter's for FB. He wanted to run some advertising to attract KSU fans to come to Hooter's on gameday for the crowds. Naturally, I referred him to Fitz.I was originally considering P&L as the location until Hooter's contacted me. Hooter's in OP wants to attract KSU fans beyond this event. They offered free wings for 2 hours. And they do business with Fitz. We all talk about supporting businesses that support KSU, so here's a business that supports KSU. Throwing all of those factors together, it was a clear decision IMO. Plus, having it in OP allows people to attend both this and the KC Catbacker event.If we had it in P&L, it would be inconvenient for people who live out south and the businesses there could care less about KSU. The intention was not to alienate anyone or any part of the Metro. I recognize there is no time or location that is good for everyone. I don't work for GPC. I'm just a buddy of Fitz and wanted to get the GPC crowd together. Hooter's approached me and made it very easy with virtually nothing I had to do. If someone can find somewhere in P&L that supports KSU, will give us free food for two hours and make the event as simple as this one, I'll happily attend and help set that up too. Regardless if Fitz can attend each one, I'd like to do more of these events.I'm sorry if you feel alienated or upset. That was not the intent. It's just some free wings, cold beer and a chance to get together. If it's truly too much of a hassle for someone to come, no problem.
