Top 5 on an island right now would be:
Cake-prolonging the magic
Talking heads-stop making sense (I say this counts)
Weezer-blue album
Zombies-oracle & odessey
Sgt. pepper

close ones:
Blondie-parallel lines
Kinks-Lola, Arthur, village green
Beatles-rubber soul and revolver
Pixies-surfer rosa
Ultimate Fakebook- this will be laughing week
Coconut records-nighttiming and Davy

Have you guys ever heard of the British boy band "Take That"?  They are actually pretty good but they are like 45 now.

That is super weird because not one of those three overlaps in any way with the others.

Weezer--Pinkerton
Radiohead--OK Computer
Pink Floyd--Dark Side of the Moon
Weezer--Blue Album
Def Leppard--High 'n' Dry (Being serious. 1981. Super badass.)

Gin Blossoms. Interesting. What should I really keep an ear out for when I listen to this album. Is this a lyrics thing? Sweet guitar solos? Overall vibe?

lyrics. The guy that started that band and wrote most of that album was an alcoholic that was kicked out of the band right before all the songs he wrote and band he started got big. Then he shot and killed himself when they made it. It's mostly about him knowingly drinking too much and stalking an ex girlfriend. Basically stuff that makes decent music. All the gin blossoms songs after he was removed were/are obviously dogshit but I'm guessing you already knew all of this.
