Dear K-State Fans,
Last night, one of our beloved Jayhawk players did something that offended you. One of our bench players, Brannen Greene, dunked a basketball in the final seconds against your Wildcats.
I know. It’s crazy that a player would dunk a basketball and I understand this is something you don’t see that often, so it may have thrown you off. But I assure you, this is something that happens often at KU and other schools that play basketball.
Still, it was uncalled for after KU had the game in hand. So, on behalf of Jayhawk Nation, we apologize for Brannen Greene’s actions.
Perhaps next time, KU fans can storm the court at the end of the game and assault your players and coaches instead. Or perhaps we should have our band disgrace the Wildcat mascot with obscene formations. That seems to be ok but a player dunking a basketball at the end of the game will not stand!
Additionally, I’d like to offer our services to organize some safe spaces for offended Wildcat fans where we can have advisors counsel and console you.
We can also bring in basketball experts to conduct a power point presentation on things that happen during game of basketball, including dunking.
Again, we apologize for Greene’s actions and hopefully you’ll be ready when an opposing player dunks a basketball in future games.
Best,
Jayhawk Nation
