I am having a good time thinking about what the meltdown would have been from KU t-shirt non college attending nation had the roles been reversed.

The only reason I care is that a KU fan would have gone Jack Ruby on the K-State player who dunked it in the tunnel.

That and our leadership won't point out the sportsmanship issue or at least poke fun at it.

Do you remember that time Marcus Smart did a backflip?

They did it and they're infuriated at us.  :frown: We can't win with them.

at least masta seff didn't get a technical foul this time around, his counseling sessions must be working

It's only a lot of fun when KU does it, if anyone else does it's classless and dangerous.

It's v weird how ku fans keep referring to afh as a church.  Think they are taking over Texas a&m's place as the league's new cultaggie.

Dear K-State Fans,

Last night, one of our beloved Jayhawk players did something that offended you. One of our bench players, Brannen Greene, dunked a basketball in the final seconds against your Wildcats.

I know. It’s crazy that a player would dunk a basketball and I understand this is something you don’t see that often, so it may have thrown you off. But I assure you, this is something that happens often at KU and other schools that play basketball.

Still, it was uncalled for after KU had the game in hand. So, on behalf of Jayhawk Nation, we apologize for Brannen Greene’s actions.

Perhaps next time, KU fans can storm the court at the end of the game and assault your players and coaches instead. Or perhaps we should have our band disgrace the Wildcat mascot with obscene formations. That seems to be ok but a player dunking a basketball at the end of the game will not stand!

Additionally, I’d like to offer our services to organize some safe spaces for offended Wildcat fans where we can have advisors counsel and console you.

We can also bring in basketball experts to conduct a power point presentation on things that happen during game of basketball, including dunking.

Again, we apologize for Greene’s actions and hopefully you’ll be ready when an opposing player dunks a basketball in future games.

Best,

Jayhawk Nation

I like how KU player dunks a ball late in the game, to the sounds of people leaving the building (i was at the game, didn't even notice it had happened), a KU couch flips out about it, calling the kid a dick and makes a big scene, KU media releases all sorts of reactionary apologies about it, and then KU fans get indignant about having to apologize.

Meanwhile, any K-State fan i've ever talked to could give two craps less about the whole thing.

Its like they live in a big echo chamber, and just have conversations with themselves.  Like Tom Hanks alone on an island.

Too bad KU doesn't have a _33.  They could have made a "Stop Dunking" video ad and really zinged us.

My goodness that sounded arrogant on my part.  3rd person?!  :horrorsurprise:

This is pretty fantastic. Makes me feel better about the way KSU handled the whole Enterprise thing.
