Nope.  Bill understands crap.  They have lost like 3 out of their last four.  If they lose to us and no one else this year, there will still be fans talking about how he is losing his edge.  Bill has to scoreboard the crap out of us and he knows it.

I agree with this, but I'm not sure if Bill knows what to do with this team. This will likely be the worst defensive team he's ever coached at Kansas and he's got his 3rd Big 12 loss fully 2 weeks earlier than any other Kansas team he's coached. 2014 is the only defense he's ever coached at KU that allowed more than 1.00 PPP in Big 12 play, but that was still the best defense in the league. Right now they are at 1.05 PPP and 4th in the league. They also don't have a true dominant big (Perry is a really nice player, but far from a dominant big, especially on defense) and their guard play is suspect. I don't think Perry can carry them and Mason seems to inconsistent to be Bill's usual steady PG. Granted, that can change and Bill has turned around poor starts before (the 06 team was 1-2 after losing to MU and us), but this will be much tougher than that.

It's like everyone just forgets that the more beatable ku appears to be, the worse they pommel the ever loving crap out of us. I'd be comfortable saying we lose at home by double digits unless they put in the scrubs with under a minute and we pull it to within 9 on a jump shot they aren't even guarding as time runs out.

I think we should expect a win against this crappy jaysqwack bunch. Has anyone noted the similarities of Diallo to Wally Judge? An athlete that is such a shitty basketball player, he can't stay on the floor -- I'll concede Wally's problem, too, was he was a complete pussy.
Remember Frank trying to build Judge up as a sophomore when Curtis was suspended? Had some good games against nobodies before laying an egg at Okie State. Self tried the same thing with Diallo with the same results.

I don't follow it super close but as high as Alexander and Diallo were ranked I don't believe they were KU's top targets.

I think bill has enough talent on his team that he doesn't spend the extra time on kids that don't develop super fast along with the rest of the team.

I think losing Danny Manning as coach, not having a dominate big on the inside since Withey, and not having a stellar stud PG since Sherron has really finally worn down on ku. Bill always loves that high-low game and when he doesn't have a confident PG to do that, and Perry is pillowy soft on D, you lose significant defense and offense on the team. Not having Danny means no one to really coach Perry into not being ED soft on D.
