Definitely don't miss the openers. Trombone Shorty is awesome and Jack Irons was a founder of RHCP then played with Pearl Jam for the Mid-90a

depends on if you get nostalgic/regretful about that sort of thing. not a huge fan of seeing old balls usually so that'd be a "dgaf" even if PF is my all-time fave

Saw Bob Dylan a few years ago. Had great bands open up for him (Wilco, My Morning Jacket and Ryan Bingham), but at his age, he was the worst concert I've ever seen aside from an O'malley's patio show or something.

But hey, I got to see Bob Dylan!

oddly i was able to get tickets to their sf show at levi's stadium but meh.

i'm wish they were playing Sun Devil Stadium since that's where a lot of rattle and hum was filmed but the rose bowl will be good

Go see Petty is you have to choose. I love Pink Floyd. I admittedly like Gilmore more than Waters. I saw Gilmore in April in Chicago and it was amazing. I went to Waters' The Wall show in 2012 and was completely underwhelmed. His voice is shot.

Petty's voice has held up because his singing voice is just his normal voice singing. Waters always had to push it and use his throat more.

I know it's Petty's last tour. Waters might do another for the money, but that's exactly what this tour is now already. If you want to see someone do a great job of singing someone else's Pink Floyd songs (a lot of the Pink Floyd songs that Waters will sing were originally sung by Gilmore) go see Brit Floyd.
