The concert last night was amazeballs. It was one of the better shows that I've ever been to. The venue was sold out, and the opener, Bird Dog, kicked ass. They have an EP on Spotify. I recommend that everyone check them out.

Bingham played for about 2 hours and hit about every song I wanted him to. He also covered Atlantic City and played the mandolin for it. I think I was most impressed his fiddle player and the crowd energy. It was a great way to cap off my birthday weekend. I'm running off of 5 hours of sleep at work today, but it was totally worth it.

Sorry that I forgot to make arrangements to meet up with you, Wiley. Hopefully you enjoyed the show too!

Hell yeah, glad you liked it.

Listening to the Bird Dog EP now, pretty good stuff. Thanks.

No worries, glad you enjoyed it.  I ended up standing right in front the bassist about 2 rows from the stage.  I spoke with the brother and his wife of Bird Dog's front man during their set.  Nice couple, drove up from Tulsa (i think).  I really dug the set he had, it was completely different than the acoustic concert i saw in St. Louis, so it was almost like seeing a completely different act.  The crowd was fantastic, and the Madrid was a solid venue as well.  I'm flying up to New York City next week and I'm thinking about just staying an extra night and seeing him at Irving Plaza, but that will be a last minute decision.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I saw Pearl Jam at Bonnaroo once. They played Even Flow and then it was 3 hours of boring.

Just got tickets for Car Seat Headrest's return to sf. Had tickets for the last show but couldn't make it. Also going to pick up tickets to shear mag and try to get tickets to Brian Wilson's Pet Sounds show and maybe Tame Impala/Unknown Mortal Orchestra

It was all because Pearl Jam played too long! But no one blamed Pearl Jam.

If I was a Kansas Citian still, I would definitely go to Hop Along at the Riot Room

Sanstone (or whatever it's called) is having some decent concerts this summer. Feels like the 1990s heyday. Picked up tickets to Florence plus the machine and Modest Mouse/Brand New.

Mich, you should definitely go to Tame Impala/UMO
