no, it was a reference to how stupid your posts in this thread are.

Only something as stupid and pointlessly divisive as politics could turn sys against one of his best bbs buds (_33).  F you politics.

So I've been thinking for the last 2 or 3 minutes...the reason politics and politicians are so terrible is because we let people who want to be politicians run for political office.  And people who want to be politicians are pathetic, lying scumbags who suck at everything.  So the answer is to just nominate people from the real world and they have to serve in office for 2-4 years depending on the office.  They would serve reluctantly, like jury duty, but they wouldn't be awful, horrible people with pathetic political ambitions like we have now.  What say you?

Well, taking away freedoms is a pretty simple way to make things run more smoothly. So yea, it would probably work better than what we have now.

LOL I love when people believe that them caring about politics is somehow a virtue that helps people.

http://www.scarymommy.com/staying-out-not-caring-politics-is-privilege/

Hey guess what, your caring about politics doesn't do crap to help any "marginalized" groups in this country.  Oh you started a debate on facebook about politics?  Congrats you helped zero refugees.  Oh you called your senator once a day for a week straight?  Congrats that didn't do crap to help anyone and took you a grand total of about 1 minute a day. Oh you wrote a virtue signaling mommyblog about how much you care about politics?  I'm sure a letter from the transgender community is in the mail thanking you for your hard work and sacrifice on their behalf.

The only reason people write something like this is to make themselves feel better about not actually doing anything to help anyone in real life.

I just love this part so much.

Quote
I could have chosen not to care because the ability to homeschool puts me in a privileged group of people. We can live on an income and a half (my job is flexible), and I have an advanced degree that gives me the skills to educate my children. We have an internet connection. My partner is engaged and hands-on with our kids. We have access to a stellar library, and the extra cash to buy needed books. The list goes on and on. But I saw through my privilege. Instead of throwing up my hands and telling everyone to stop annoying me with all their caring for social justice, I called both of my senators every day for a week and a half. We have to make some Americans’ problem every American’s problem.

I SAW THROUGH MY PRIVILEGE, I MADE A COUPLE POINTLESS PHONE CALLS, I'M A GOOD PERSON AND I HELP PEOPLE.

Oh you're husband has a great job, you have an advanced degree, a giant library, and stacks of cash, and the way you choose to help is by mommyblogging about how much you care about politics?  The "marginalized" in society are forever indebted to you.

Should people only help in the best way or is it ok to help in some way?

Hey _33, does it make you feel better as a person to denigrate mommybloggers for trying to make the world a better place? What are you doing to positively contribute to society and the future?

But yeah, homeschooling  :barf:

making powerful people uncomfortable enough to change their minds usually requires more than voting.

It's definitely hilarious, _33. I really love the "look at me'rs, I care about diversity, and issues that I have no idea what i'm talking about on". Kinda like how lib loves to call everyone racist and be the "see, look at me guys, i'm white, but I understand black ppl, so i'm hip and cool. Black ppl, please like me!" kinda ppl.
