Smith, on the list of assistant coaches at the UA is, well, very much just one of the guys. Although he does coach the Mackey Award winner at Tight End, which I could do because Hunter Henry is so damned good, Smith is a guy who is "just there". He has one wide receiver  who runs in the 4.2's in the forty and a white guy who runs precise routes. So all Smith has to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. He's a good guy but in no way essential to the cause.

I was explaining how we got the auto bid because we were the actually Big XII champions (this was my point).  The bowl game was a product of us winning the Big XII championship, the bowl game itself was still a meaningless exhibition.
