And as previously stated you are essentially trading a year of development of your young QBs for one season of a guy who presided over the worst season OU has had since 1999. It's cool though we'll just act like this entire board didn't spend all of last season mocking Knight. Jake Waters is absolutely a better QB, would you guys take another year of Waters starting over Delton or Thompson?

They are freshmen! If they transfer because they aren't guaranteed the starting job as freshmen then they can kick rocks.

Which quarterback would you take as a transfer?

QB A 179/316 2300 yds. 14 TDs 12 INTs 68 rushes for 339 yds 5 TDs
QB B 254/451 2669 yds. 18 TDs 9 INTs 125 rushes for 421 yds 3 TDs

Both guys got benched in 2015, both eligible for transfer. The one with clearly the worst stats is obviously Trevor Knight. Anyone without looking care to guess who QB B is? He's someone you all know and we'd all agree is someone we wouldn't want playing QB for us if it was at the expense of a QB we already have. He also didn't have a running back who holds the single game rushing game offering him cover in the same backfield.

At this point that is secondary. I didn't realize how amazingly average Trevor Knight was in 2014. He had numbers like that with Sterling Sheppard and Perine. He also had 2 offensive linemen and a fullback drafted from that offense. OU was loaded, how in the hell was he the 76th most efficient passer? QB B didn't have anyone on his offense drafted, let's go get that guy.

Seriously, we have no class balance at QB. Bringing in a senior is a really good idea. If Delton is better, he'll ultimately start. If you think Hubes, Ertz or Banks are anything more than backups at this juncture, you are a lunatic. Those 3 each almost certainly understand that to be their role.

The idea that bringing in a transfer (as opposed to any other recruit) could cause a player to feel slighted is incredibly stupid and childish given 25 new guys are brought in every rough ridin' season in cfb. It's about as stupid as thinking Jones would feel cheated when Dimel got goal line carries.

Delton/Thompson are the only two that may cause the other to transfer.

1. it's kind of weird after a season like we just had to be against adding veteran, non-former-walkon-wide-receiver qb depth
2. if delton or ertz transfer because of it (i don't think they would) and have to sit out at another school during the only year knight will be here, then they are stupid

Nice job wetwillie. The qb with better numbers than the great Trevor Knight is Iowa State's own Sam B. Richardson. Something tells me that we wouldn't be so enthusiastic if we wanted to transfer here with assurances he'd start.

He couldn't run OUs offense with NFL talent all over the field. He wouldn't have 4 NFL O-linemen and Sheppard and Perine here, doesn't that concern you? Or does one good game 2 years ago and Katy Perry saying his name on college gameday matter more?
