Probably the worst I've ever seen a K-State team look.  I honestly can't remember a worse game in twenty years of watching.

Those games against Nebraska during the prince years were pretty bad. Comparable, at least.
No this was far worse than any game under Prince.
Funny how people exaggerate the Prince era solely to to protect Bill.

They easily forget that game against Nebraska on Thursday night when our defense got destroyed as bad or worse than any Prince era team.

Well funny in the sense that they are lying to themselves.

I had similar conversations last year when I told people the 14-15 basketball team was worse than pretty much every wooly team

It was so comically bad that you didn't even really have a chance to get emotional about it.  It's just kinda like "well, we're rough ridin' terrible  :dunno:".

Oh I'm sorry, did you guys start confusing yourselves with a team that hasn't tasted the sweet flavor of victory gravy yet this season?! Oh, I apologize for your wizard genius coach after twenty five franking years finally succumbing to the throes of hoof and mouth induced dementia, not unlike what a certain program has been addicted to for the past five years.

This pity party sucks. You guys can Frank your faces. I am goddamn KU football fan and every Saturday for like a billion years I lace up my arms and shoot up needles full of self loathing and burning pain.

You guys knew this was coming and you didn't appreciate every moment that child soul sacrificing agent of the Dark One gave you... Damn you you for forcing me into this post.

Our best linebacker got knocked out of the game by an undersized wide receiver.

Cook should/will be the qb from here on out.

Burton should have had 3tds on long pass plays

That's crazy.I had no idea we got up to a hundred yards. It definitely didn't seem like we did.

They would have beat an nfl team after getting throttled by texas, we just ran into a buzz saw.

We ran into a buzz saw with a blindfold on. I've tried to rationalize the losses so far, but the common thread running through all of them is inexplicable coaching decisions. If we had a good game plan yesterday we probably still would have lost, but we would have at least looked like a P5 team and not some FCS pud that gets $700k for showing up.

There is a very predictable formula in college football if you pay attention.  KSU lost last minute heart breakers in back to back games coming into this week against a really good team.  They were going to get crushed.

Texas did the same thing against Cal, Oklahoma State, and TCU.  They turned around and whipped up Oklahoma.  The Cats will be fine.

Like I said, it's not surprising at all that we lost to OU.  What is surprising is that almost no one (people in the know, former players, former coaches, casual fans, Bill himself, etc.) has any explanation for some of the coaching decisions that have been made the last few weeks.  OU struggled stopping the run, we successfully ran the ball for most of the TCU game, our receivers are terrible, and our QB has a sub-.500 completion percentage.  So we come out and throw all passes our first 2-3 drives?

We CAN be fine, but something significant has to change in planning and preparation both on offense and defense.

Cook should/will be the qb from here on out.

Burton should have had 3tds on long pass plays

The blue hairs around were furious with Burton "not running it out" on both plays like it was his fault they overthrew him by 10 yards.

I didn't watch after the first quarter so I can't comment on the others, but the first wide open deep miss was clearly on Burton. He looked like an outfielder watching like it was an obvious home run only to have it land in front of the warning track.

So you watched on TV? That ball was overthrown by a mile, he stumbled trying to speed up, but even if he did he wasn't catching that ball. The overthrow was acceptable simply because it was the first deep throw and Hubener was throwing with the wind. He's been playing QB for like 20 minutes it wasn't an easy throw.
