Loudest you've heard since.....???
« on: October 12, 2015, 07:53:08 AM »
The crowd at BSFS on October 10, 2015 was the loudest you've heard since what?

Benchmarks to consider:

1) Blocked punt v. OU, 2000
2) T-New two-point v. USC, 2002
3) Willie K-S-U on Dev Nelson v. UT, 2012
4) Loudest ever?

It was very loud.   Klatt was talking about how the crowd noise at BSFS is much louder than you would expect down on the field and is now even louder because of the WSC and NVFC.

WNKjr wasn't wanting to wear his noise cancelling headphones.  It was loud enough I felt forced to cover his ears with my hands.  Great job by the crowd!

Also, was anyone watching the TCU guys with me?  I sit in section 18 and it was a great entertainment.

While the crowd did do a good job Sat, I thought the crowd noise for the Thurs night game vs Auburn last year was the best we've had for a long while. Before that, you prob go back to your 2012 option.

2012 Auburn was the best beginning to end since USC 2002.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I have been to 90% of the games since 2001 (none before that).

I think that the 02 and 03 crowds were the loudest  (USC and Texas in particular).

The problem for me is that I was in the student section back then and now I am in the southeast corner. I don't think that the 3rd down noise is quite as loud but I could be going deaf or it might be just because I was in the student section back then.

Personally I think the  K   S    U   Wildcat chant was as loud as ever Saturday night.

I also think that crowd singing of the national anthem is great and we are probably the most coordinated with the band that I have seen since I have been here.

Saturday was damned loud, IMO, but the doc told me today that I have an ear wax problem. From that diagnosis, I assume it was much louder than I thought. Go #LoudCats.

I always think about how loud it would have been if we hadn't have won on a 1st and down from the 1. It was a foregone conclusion at that point. But if aTm didn't convert on 4th and goal or if Klein's TD run from the first play of the 3OT had been in the bottom half after aTm got a field goal or something, BSFS would have absolutely exploded. (this is from memory so the "facts" are liable to change)

i was highly entertained by @gooch and @EMAWmeister trying to incite fights with them from three sections away.

Nebraska 1998 when Jeff Kelly ran the rock back for a TD. Or when Eric Crouch got his face ripped off.

Willie leading the KSU chant from on top of the press box is probably the loudest I remember being at.
