I'm absolutely baffled by it all... We ran it for 165 yards in 1H and they simply couldn't stop us.

We could've just run it every snap and had a better chance to win than coming out and throwing it on the first 5 or 6 plays and giving up a pick six to spark their sideline.

Time management didn't mean much in this game. Most of TCU's scores came in a very short amount of time.

I totally get the play calling, and I don't necessarily disagree with it. But two weeks in a row we have put the game on BY FAR our weakest position (WR) and it has blown up on us both times.

Plus, being down 3 scores with no momentum adds great pressure to an offense and pressure is the greatest enemy of offense.

probably not.  likely just uninformed, as in didn't actually look at the box score.

Well, box score says we did actually win the TOP battle 2:1 which is pretty good but we still lost, so in that sense it did not mean much.

Second, if we take the alternate reality approach and shorten the game by 6 minutes, we still lose (TCU went up with something like 7 minutes left I think).

Third, we were ahead by 3 scores, but we were playing one of the nation's top offenses and got a huge INT to slow down TCU in the first half. We were not going to win the game without continuing to score.

No one knows whether more runs would have given us the necessary production to move the chains. That said, if we go up on the Sooners in the first half next week, you can bet we'll run more to start the 3rd quarter.

TCU's defense (especially linebackers) are extremely aggressive and we killed them with QB read plays. In fact, we were reading ILBs a bunch when we ran reads because they fly to the ball so much. However, we pretty much went away from those calls most of the 3rd quarter and it cost us.

I understand the passing calls because just like last week there were schematic advantages to many of them. However, that doesn't make them the right calls, especially after they blew up on us for 2 third quarters in a row. I get that QB depth is an issue and there is a fear in running the QB, but wins are important and Hubener has actually gotten better at not taking tough hits. Stay with what helped you run all over TCU and score those 35 points in the first half. Instead, not only did the passing game only allows us to score 10 2nd half points, we also gave TCU back 7 on the pick 6.

I rationalized some of the play calling last week based on breaking down the film, but I can't defend it again after it brought us the same problems.

And I actually forgot the announcer's point during the game that TCU has undersized LBs since they are built to defend the spread.
