That was a fun one.... Cold and rainy but who's cold when KU's first play from scrimmage was a safety?

Listening to KU fans call into their radio show afterward as we rolled West down I-70 was hilarious comedy....

It was an awesome day:
--Got tix for $5
--KU players came out and did a pretty impressive, tough-looking routine that made them look like real Div I football players
--I think KU had some video with a jet themed as a jayhawk that, on the video, flew around and blew up all sorts of crap.
--Safety on the 1st or 2nd play of the game.
--LHSBC was playing 2nd and 3rd string players in the 3rd quarter.  KU was in position to get a 1st down on our side of the field, LHSBC pulled all the backups and put the starters on the field to stuff the 3rd down play to force a punt.  That really cheesed off some of the KU loyalists we were sitting by.
--Pretty much all K-State fans in the stands by mid 3rd quarter.

It was 64-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter. K-State didn't score in the 4th quarter.

Easily my favorite game outside of Nebraska when ell and lord almost fought and we kicked their ass.

i remember going to that game. My mom's side of the family are KU Hawk fans and had season tickets, but me my dad his dad my grandfather got tickets for what i'm sure was next to nothing. We were in the endzone in ponchos having a great time, My mom came by during the 3rd qtr and said we had to leave. My dad was pissed so was I, my K-Stater Grandfather just laughed and said "we've seen enough boys let's go home" good memories.

He was at the game in Lawrence last year marching up and down the aisle at midfield with a "We Own This State" poster.

Not only that, the poster was professionally printed on waterproof laminate........ I was impressed.
