I can't fathom the two high school kids in Texas not being punished for laying out a ref. They claim he was racist. A damn good reason to commit battery. It would be all hell if they touched a jhaaaawk spitooey. I heard they may not be punished.

Saw something similar in a KC Chiefs game in the 80s at Arrowhead when the played the Raiders. Ref saw, didn't even flag it (the KC OL had nerve damage as a result in his neck, and it shorted his career).

In the same game I saw Lester Hayes (I believe, getting old) get flagged for PI. He got in the Ref's face and pushed him down. No flag for that (I think the ref was intimidated - or maybe in those days it wasn't a penalty).

Football is a changing.
