High life sucks worse than anything ever.

High Life was responsible for some of the best nights of my life.

So take that back.

Amber Bock

I don't know why, but I love the stuff.  Either that or Dos Equis Amber.

Yuengling Lager

Others:  Coors Origina

This is my ''go to" cheap beer.

Love the stuff, but only in a bottle.   Tastes different out of a can, IMHO.

That's funny cause it's the only beer I prefer out of a can.  :dunno:  (<--- can for me though)

Not your favorite, or what you deem the best.  What is that one reliable beer that you can always count on.

For me it has been either Schlitz(60's formula), or Boulevard Pilsner since their release.  This changes in the cooler months as I prefer something a bit heavier in those times and usually have Sam Adams as a fall back.

I thought I was the only one that falls back to original Schlitz.  My older brother taught me to drink it in the early 70's when he was a KSU student.  "If you keep Schlitz in your refrigerator, you'll always have beer.  No one likes it and no one will bum it off you."  It's an acquired taste, but I keep it in my man cave refrigerator to this day.

A roommate of mine in college used the same logic only with Milwaukee's Premium :puke:

Stuff tastes like gasoline, even when you're so drunk you can't taste things like tequila

Shiner is pretty damn delicious.  One very nice thing about living in Texas is the ready supply of Shiner.  It's on tap, basically everywhere.  Like freaking Applebees everywhere.

This stuff is good cold, but to really enjoy it, try it room temp.  Much more flavor.

Pretty much true with every beer and every food, for that matter.  It's all about not deadening the taste buds with hot or cold temps.  But, bocks are not meant to be served at room temp, but cellar temp instead.  Right around 55 degrees.

Is this a dark beer?(LBIQ here) If so,  :barf:

Not really.  Very good beer to start off with when you're ready to try something a bit more adventurous than the average american style lager/pilsner.  Kind of a gateway beer, I guess.

More like an Amber.

You can get Shiner Blond around here in a few places if you don't like the darker stuff.

Also love the Yuengling, but it is only available on the east coast.  I believe they have the original brewery in Philly and also one in Tampa.  The reportedly have a corporate policy of not selling more than XXX miles from a brewery or some such.

I drink the crap out of it when on vaca in FL but have never seen it anywhere close to KS.   Would be curious how far west it is available?
