http://kansasfirstnews.com/2014/07/07/high-winds-shut-us-24-in-nw-riley-county/

Quote
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) says as of 10 p.m. Monday night US Highway 24 from the US-77 junction to the K-113 junction is closed to all traffic northwest of Manhattan due to downed power lines.

The lines came down just after 9:00 p.m. when winds exceeding 60 mph raced through the area.

KDOT says the estimated re-opening of the highway is sometime Tuesday, but may not be done in time for the Tuesday morning commute so drivers are being told to take alternate routes.

Downed power lines were also being reported on 52nd street and a Kansas First News photographer said the Manhattan Menard’s sign was “shredded” by the winds.

As of 6:35am Tuesday, 704 people were without power in Riley County, 1528 in Leavenworth County, Shawnee with 143 outages, Douglas had 1677 outages and Osage and Wabaunsee counties had 22r outages according to Westar Energy.

T's & P's, seven.

Just a heads up for Saturday. Yeah, this crap is going down. Really keep an eye to the sky and plans for a shelter in place.

Sorry bros. when Kansas gets tornados, it's pretty boring. When Oklahoma gets tornados, we get flooding and tigers.

I have jaw dropping nado action shots on my phone.  Only 50 credits to see the least impressive of the 3 available shots.
