When I was flying back from England on British airways I got bumped off my flight to Chicago and was super pissed.  Airline said I would have to get on a flight the following morning, but decided to give me a full refund for my ticket and put the amount on a prepaid debit card.  They later came back and said they could put me on a flight tochicago a few hours later.  They let me keep the 800 bucks.  Felt phenomenal.

I was definitely raising hell about being stranded in Heathrow for another night.  There must have been some miscommunication between the people who gave me the money and the people who had been looking for a new flight to put me on.  But I wasn't gonna be the one to point out any confusion amongst the British Airways ranks.
