When they escape and find the ashes, it's mid-day outside.

Back on the open water thing, I'm pretty jazzed.

Where will they go, South or North? Who will they encounter? How will they deal with lawless, marauding pirates and the other seafaring studs roving the open seas? How will they deal with supplies and food? Stormy weather? Mechanical issues?

So many questions. I can't wait!

So, does the boat belong to Strand, or are they going to spend some time with the overtaking of the boat? Perhaps some super old guy that is going to drop dead while they're cruising the coast and end up cranking up the on boat drama?

Possible spoiler alert:

The main characters so far are listed to appear in 7 episodes so far (this season's 6, and the first one of next season). However Strand is only listed to appear in the last 2 episodes of season 1, not in the 7th episode (season 2 episode 1).

Anyone been watching the plane mini-series? Is it worth to go back and watch thru? Does it seem connected to this next season at all or is it just filler to keep people interested?

I need to watch it all at the same time. It got annoying trying to catch each 1 minute clip during the commercial breaks. I had heard that there would be a character that would be part of FTWD. Not sure if that is true though.

Agreed. Think they blew it on the opener. Hopefully it picks back up next week with the intro of these new people.

I don't understand why they made the season premier average. I think it adds to my frustration that I think they moved too fast on the spread of the disease and how fast civilization collapsed. Maybe it is realistic though.

I liked how they were dealing with the part of the disease that TWD passed over while Rick was in a coma. Now, they are basically caught up with Rick and the world ended and you gotta deal with assholes and zombies.

Agreed, the pace is a bit quick IMO. This thing started like 10 days ago and the military is already bombing LA? On a good note the preview for next week's episode showed them back on land. If this entire season had taken place on a yacht I would have quit watching.

I honestly didn't think the yacht would ever happen. I thought it was something that was going to be taken from them really quick or something that they were prevented from doing at all. I guess, it may get taken in the next show with the whole piracy possibility.

Something cool better happen, damn it.

They spent a decent amt of time focusing on the log book that Nick recovered for no apparent reason. Hopefully that becomes apparent and leads them to something decent.
