Avery IPA is one of my favorites. Has a somewhat creamy taste too it, yet still crisp and refreshing.     :gocho:

Anyone know the IBU of Miller High Life?

Craft beers like that have very low IBUs. I would guess that Miller High Life has something like 10 IBUs.

Left Hand makes good beer.  Polestar Pilsner is delicious.

IPA's don't have to be redic strong. Try a Ranger IPA from new belgium if you "don't like IPA's" then get back to me.

Will try and report

try the odells ipa too. It's super citrusy and the type of ipa that I love. go to a big store and get a mixed pak and try one each day before trying something else and I bet you find one you like. odells though.

The O'Dells IPA is fantastic.  Also, they have the coolest draught pull (ferocious elephant head).

That reminds me, Sam Adams came out with an IPA.  I think it's called Latitude, every bottle in the 12 pack has a story about the hops.

Oh yea, the beer is really good too.

Will have to try this.  Reminds me of what started this thread, Bourbon County Stout.

Also, just finished La Trappe Quadrupel.  Excellent.  Sweet and fruity taste. Abv is nicely hidden (10%). Not as lively/spicy as the Westmalle but still an excellent beer.  Those rough ridin' monks now how to brew. -------> :drink:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

If I ever saw a dude drinking beer out of a wine glass, I'd likely kick him in the cooter.

Boulevard Double Wide IPA (part of the Smokestack Series) .... Good (7.5 out of 10).  I was hoping it would be better, but really it just tasted like an assload of average tasting hops.

welcome to every rough ridin' ipa out there right now.  the ipa arms race has fooled a nation of mid 20 year old guys that overhopping beer is a good thing.  man, the hops in that 120 minute IPA tasted a lot stronger than the hops in the 115 minute IPA i drank last week, it's so much better.  word.  :flush:

very accurate, very correct.  you wouldn't know a good beer if i smashed a keg of it over your dome.

IPAs are starting to become the truck nuts of beer.  there are some really good ones out there but at some point people decided it was a test of their manliness to drink the hoppiest thing they could find.  I am secure enough to follow an IPA with a raspberry lager in front of god or anyone.

Drink a porter if you want to be cool/original, not an IPA.

finished some Schlafly Weissbier this week.  Says on the label that it has clove and banana.  Was intrigued but didn't taste the banana at all.  That said, it was pretty damn good.

Last week had Schlafly rasberry unfiltered wheat.  Was really good.  buying more of both tonight.

The Weissbier is one that is better after it warms up a little, imo.
