I had a wasp come out of my dad's diet coke can and bit/sting me when I was caddying for him at Stagg Hill.  Today?  I just made a couple families of wasps homeless.  #flightoftears

One funny thing that happened is that I used to be very afraid that my son would flush important things down the toliet.  Now he is 3 and basically handles his business like a grown up.

I used to get very nervous at car repair places, then I saw someone else get suckered super bad ($25 to fill up the air on an old lady's tires) and learned to just get the absolute cheapest of whatever I came for and refuse any suggestions.

I still get a touch of vertigo when climbing the spiral staircase in the rotunda at the capitol in Topeka.

I left the line for space mountain at Disney World because someone vomited in the line and I started thinking about the kid that supposedly was beheaded or whatever.

When I was 12 I was scared to kiss a girl that had braces because I thought it would shred my tongue, but took the leap and it was totally worth it.

I am still pretty scared of this old lady who lives in the cul-de-sac in our neighborhood who sits in a lawn chair in her garage and tries to tractor beam anyone out walking over for a chat.

Cockroaches and bed bugs.  I am going to hold on to these fears as I think they are important for my survival.

Unemployment.  Wow.  I think this one might stick around.  Everyone needs some basic self-preservation stuff.

10 year old TownieCat thought he was going to die doing this during his 4th grade field trip. Heights are the rough ridin' worst.

I used to be very afraid of snakes (still afraid of the ones that can kill me fwiw) but yesterday while visiting my grandmother this garter snake came right up to me and I decapitated it with a garden hoe.

When I first became a parent and would see something on the news about a child being kidnapped or murdered, I would have these horrible nightmares and wake up covered in sweat.  It's still my biggest fear, and I'll never get over it.   Snakes are a distant second  :Yuck:

I'm kind of looking forward to being married and having a kid so my fears will be on focused something else. You know, it's like that scene from major payne, when he runs over to the soldier and his leg is shot, so he breaks his thumb so he has a new thing to focus on.  :D
