are we gonna lose our roady at UTSA?
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

No.  They are going to take a major step back.  They are losing 36 seniors off last years team.

I think the Ertz/someone else conundrum more closely resembles the Dunn/Roberson stalemate.
I hope so but would guess this ends more like the Dyls/Webb impasse

Man, how wonderful would EMAW football (#)life be for us now if H3O had chosen to tough it out at PSU or Texas?

The Cats wouldn't have been the laughing stock of college football in 2013. (having not lost to a D3 school) And would've split a Dr. Pepper in 2014 (probs outright). So yeah, it'd be a beautiful (#)life.

Well, we didn't lose to a D3 school, so there's that. Also,

this wacky/MIR debate is heating up folks
To his defense, he's too busy following little league softball, volleyball, horse racing, nascar, rowing, soccer, equestrian, etc. to have the real facts about every sport. He spreads himself too thin at times.  :frown:

You gave about 18 links, none of which said Waters had an offer from UT.

I don't recall the coaches ever having anything good to say about Webb. All tidbits we've heard have not been an indictment of the ability of Delton and Banks but the fact that they're not ready. I mean we're talking about a true freshman and a guy who has practiced for a week, comparing them to Alan Webb is a but strong.

UT told Waters that he has an offer only if commits on the spot.  Waters mushed them.

Quote
If the Texas Longhorns end up taking a junior college quarterback in the 2013 class, it won't be Iowa Western CC's Jake Waters, who is set to make a decision on Thursday after hosting the head coaches from his two finalists, Penn State and Kansas State.

Waters told ESPN that the situations in Manhattan and Happy Valley "are probably the best for me ($)." And that isn't necessarily a knock on the state of the Texas program either, more a recognition that the two other schools both have senior quarterbacks who will be moving on after this season, while Texas is crowded at the position and has a sort-of incumbent in David Ash.

The two other quarterbacks left on the radar are Arizona Western's Tanner McEvoy and Garden City CC's Nick Marshall. There has been little buzz about either receiving an offer in the last several days, so the talk in general about taking a JUCO quarterback seems to be dying down at this time.

Could rivals be wrong about Marshall's offer?  :Wha:

The most highly touted JUCO QB OF ALL TIME? Or everyone's last second hail mary? The Nick Marshall saga continues...

maybe we could mod this into 2 threads. One for 2015 football insider tidbits, another for arguing about players who have exhausted their eligibility

Don't bother, I don't know why I got sucked into that stupidity. I'd much rather discuss Alex Delton not being Allen Webb.

Delton seems more like Roberson than Webb, style wise.

I'd just rather not bring up Webb at all, to be honest.  That whole period of quarterbacking at KSU was a really dark time.

Ah, screw it.

Is Ertz potentially better or worse than Kevin Lopina?

This web blog has taken a few big steps back lately. We're only a couple iterations away from latching on to that one BCS bowl game we won a generation ago.
