Houston things
« on: May 14, 2015, 02:23:09 PM »
Saw a graphic that Houston is one of the top destinations for K-State graduates, so I figured some of you Houston Cats could give me Houston things since I live about an hour out of town. Houston obviously has a lot of money from oil revenue but it seems kind of plain and generic. Help me sift through that to find what to do in Houston that doesn't include Olive Garden and the Katy Mills Mall.

#1 city for strip clubs. It's pretty much Junction City on steroids.  :Yuck:

Ra Sushi. Pappas Bros restaurants. Karbach Brewing always has good food trucks. That's about all I know.

Good town for boozing when we take dealers to the factory.

Saldivias is houston's best kept secret. I've literally never ordered anything but he brochettes and never regretted it, just amazing.

There used to be a place called Burger Guys but they didn't bother paying their rent and they got shut down last Christmas. I'm still not over it.

Central Market is just delightful*.

Memorial Park*

Some very good museums in the museum district if you care to culture yourself

*great for people watching
