There is an app on my Phone called Google. Actually it just automatically comes up in the little upper left notifications and when I click there it gives all this stuff. It was pre-installed and it just started giving all this info without me asking for it.

In my app list it just says Google under it with this icon...

It's just called "Google" in the Play Store.

There is another thing in the Play Store called Google Now Launcher, which I do not have installed.

Also, the other day it started telling me where I parked, but I didn't tell it to keep track of that.

Mine does that as well as telling me my ETA home when I get in my car after work or out and about. I dropped off a friend the other day at his place and Google told me traffic was normal and I would be home in seven minutes. Crazy.

Then I was having a conversation about the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park and then I got an email from Living Social for a stay there.

Plus side to creepiness: Wife and I both shop for everything online. Birthdays come right after xmas and neither of us ever have a good idea of something good to get the other for bday, as we just pulled that trigger for xmas. Well, now I just log on to amazon, get on my email, or something else and there is a list of ads of things I can reliably assume that either she or I have looked into buying recently, and if I don't recognize is, it was her. Boom, birthday present ninja stuff.

I switched my phone service to google fi back in October and have officially signed my life away to google now....but I kind of like it. I couldn't find my phone on sunday and it was set to silent so I googled "Find my phone". Boom, first result is a map showing my phone is at my house with an option to make it ring on full blast for 5 minutes or until I find it.

Sure you can disable it but they are gathering that data either way so I might as well use it too...the only new thing I didn't know about was it showing when you launched apps on your phone/tablet. That seemed newer?
