hostels

have never stayed in one but going to a place with a friend in a month and there is a hostel in a good location that is like 1/5 the price of anything else. we only need a place to sleep and neither of us care that much about a bed. am i too old to do this? seems like it's a college student game. will they call us old balls and make fun of us? for reference i am older than 30.

i stayed in one in downtown san diego with a couple bro's (so we had our own room with 2 bunk beds and a table).  we were like 28ish at the time and no one cared.  our room had a fire escape so we took that to the roof at night and  :bigtoke: and it was a fantastic few days.

my review is

price: a
comfort: c
communal bathrooms: f

summary:  great if you don't mind dorm room showers for a few days and you don't plan on spending much time in the room

jackson hole. going for four nights with two free nights at a really nice place but then on our own for the next two. don't plan on spending any time at the hotel/hostel/etc other than to sleep. this is the place.

An unbelievably awesome Wi-fi network with the addition of a 100mbps fiber optic connection, to keep those Netflix streams flowing even at peak times, and a commercial-grade, dual WAN router. Oh, since there is now enough bandwidth for all, we have made it FREE.

that put me over the edge, looks great Ricky d I say go for it

that's fantastic. didn't end up doing the san diego trip fwiw. I mean, i'm basically a bbsing robot with limited code that only allows me to post on a limited amount of topics. hostels after free hotel rooms is apparently one.

I'm seriously considering banning rick daris from the credit card/hotel/airline miles thread.  I mean, what the hell is this?

i would stay at the teton mountain lodge and spa for two nights. i would then either extend the stay there or move over to some other place or go to the hostel. the hostel seems interesting because it just seems interesting. kind of like a trip inside of a trip. dunno. all three of the above places are right where i want to be and only like four blocks separates all three.
