I hope D Scott resolves his issues or whatever, but my "takeaway" from this is that I am proud of Fitz and how much Fitz has apparently grown.


Fitz had quite a bit of "editorial" opinion to express about Marcus Foster and Marcus' alleged substance abuse.  It came off as pretty darn insensitive.  In contrast, I presently see where Fitz is coming out in support of D Scott and asking others to respect D Scott's privacy, and Fitz is choosing not to opine on the D Scott situation any further.  This is great, and I am glad he is NOT doing to D Scott that which he did to Marcus Foster.  I trust that Fitz will not address D Scott's issues on his podcast and on local radio shows, etc., as he did with Marcus Foster.  One must conclude that this event with D Scot has taught Fitz to be more mindful about his public criticisms of others. 

Not everyone has the courage to learn from their mistakes, as Fitz has.

Fitz also accused Tre Harris and Nigel of using drugs, with no proof.  I think he learned from that and is now erring on the side of the accused even to go as far as hinting that this whole incident is just an instance of the Riley County Police Department being heavy handed and overreacting.

It's pretty obvious that dr00d and posters of his ilk are more interested in using a smear campaign to discredit any member of the media that doesn't conform to their taste in reporting. When a poster accuses Fritch of "bugging the hell out of every person" and has no personal knowledge of the veracity of that, it's plain as day that they have a vendetta and won't stop until called out and proven wrong.

nah, I was just reiterating what the OP was trying to get across - which is the hypocrisy of the situation. I still believe this to be true but honestly give a rats ass about this or many other situations with either athletes or media's personal life.

To say that media doesn't bug everyone is a complete joke, because if they are not bugging everyone, then they are simply not doing their job, reporting one source and hoping they are telling the truth, etc. I think we have seen instances of this before, even from Fitz 'it's patterson' gerald.

He picked a really bad time and place to be a jerk. And with that, this thread is locked.
