thank you tobias. i can see how it is hair and huge widow's peak from a top view of its head - if i force myself to. my natural view is that he falls down (mouth up, in profile) and the area where his head was reveals a black circle.

it's still an arm pounding the ground (not a table, how are you imagining a table?). in profile it makes more sense that it only has one visible arm. also makes more sense that it would be face up, not face down inhaling the dust.
