I recorded this show and watched some parts I missed.   Another striking thing to me was how K handled Laettner.   I know it's a little over the top with Coach K (kind of like it is with Snyder), but it was interesting to me how K let Laettner be Laettner for the most part.   I got a laugh when Self Important Jay Bilas (SIJB) said he saw things at practice when he was an assistant that he'd never seen at a basketball practice before.

K just seems to know how to handle guys for the most part, it's fascinating to me.

Laettner seemed kind of MJ or Kobeish with regard to will to win, and teammates not liking them. Prob not the worst prob to have.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

just in a general sort of way. super cocky it seems. i loved the 30 for 30 though and can appreciate how good a college player he was.

I agree, but I think part of that was fueled by the fact that so many people assumed so many things and so they threw a lot of vitriol his way.

If thousands were throwing homophobic slurs at your while you drained 3's and clown suited Shaq, you'd be a little douchey as well.

Agreed. I wasn't a college hoops fan in the early 90s so I didn't know much about him. That era really was great tho with UNLV, Fab Five, Duke, etc. etc.
