NIT NIT, Makes me want to spit!

I am having a hard time dreaming of going to the NIT after going to the NCAA.  I don't know which is better winning in the NIT or being one and over in the NIT.  Is the NIT the best of the worse?  If we go to NIT I am sure I'll be rooting for the Cats.  What is that other knothead tournament called?
