http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2015/10/29/senators_gillibrand_and_mccaskill_slam_fraternity_organizations_that_lobby.html

The so-called Safe Campus Act would prevent colleges and universities from taking action to make their campuses safer under Title IX after a sexual assault unless the victim made an official report to law enforcement. Even then, the university would not be able to enact final disciplinary measures against the perpetrator until the police finished their investigation—a process that could take months or years, during which the perpetrator could remain on campus.

The two major U.S. fraternity and sorority coalitions—the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and the National Panhellenic Conference, respectively—have joined with the Alpha Tau Omega and Sigma Nu fraternities and the Kappa Alpha Order to support the Safe Campus Act with help from big-time lobbyists like former Republican senator Trent Lott. Meanwhile, organizations that work with rape survivors have overwhelmingly registered their opposition.

I guess frats and sororities have a way of shutting things down if it's really unwanted....

Ha I could so tell lopakman was a delt. That or $1.65.

How could you tell?  You don't even know what years I was there.

It was between this and the forklift thread.  You seem like a mid to late 90's dude (which I like to call the Golden Age).

No need to apologize!   I think you guys caught the KSU greek thing at one of the best times.  Strong participation and less regulation.  I think it started going downhill early 2000's.  FWIW I always loved the sit around the pool and fish for beers thing.

How dare they not want to get punished without an investigation of any kind, just let universities do whatever they want based on public pressure. Nothing could go wrong there at all.

Story time.

One time I went into the kitchen and our cook, old gross lady that reminded me of like a witch or something (God bless her soul, she's passed) was stirring a soup while also holding a blood soaked rag over her nose.  Like really soaked.  Soaked enough that some blood could have gotten in the soup.   :sdeek:

So then we get this new guy.  I walk into kitchen and in much the same way, Dan is there stirring some soup, and I see a drip of sweat fall off his nose into the soup.   :sdeek:

Same Dan, one time he was cooking and his wife showed up pissed trying to fight him because she caught him having an online affair or something.   :sdeek:

So their defense was essentially, "no no no way we did that, we put the n-word and the spics in the house at the door and they would have totally let the brown people in."

I never really gave it any thought, so my first assumption was they made it themselves. Apparently that's offensive to mir
