Worst part is that even if the conference stays together, KSU basically can't do crap to help it's cause in future reallignment talk. Will forever be anytime someone mentions a possible Big(?) implosion. Are we going to magically put together an elite football program in the next few years? Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping more than anything that this thing sticks together. Just sucks getting reminded of our place in the grand scheme of things...

It will always be like this (unless a sizemic shift in the earths crust suddenly makes Kansas a desirable place to live)Sys mentioned a Mo-Kan network to suppliment TV deals for the KC area schools. I think something like this could help insure longterm viability. Not becuase our own network would make a lot of money, but because we could further entagle ourselves with the bigger schools in our region. We need to handcuff and chain ourselves to Mizzou and KU and throw away the key.
From the Journal World 10:18 a.m. Update:The Orange County Register has learned that Pac-10 officials will meet with KU tonight at an undisclosed location. The meeting comes as no surprise in the wake of Sunday’s rumors that Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott was en route to Kansas City. His plane never landed at KCI, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t get to the area somehow, somewhere.Sources told me late Sunday night that KU’s meeting with the Pac-10 was going down but that it was a back-up plan for KU, as it was looking more and more like the Big 12 may stay together.

If either school pisses the legislature off enough, they could slow down the money faucet.

I heard they projected 1.2 million. Seriously, it will bring about 500 to 1000 maybe, but having it up and running will certainly allow K-State to enhance the bull$hit "research and academic" play.

Hey. What gives with single game tickets? I was gonna log on to kstatesports.com to buy them right now to snatch up some tix because they were supposed to go on sale today at 10 CST. Every time I click on a game it just says This Game Is Not Onsale.

I just want someone to ask Schultz just EXACTLY how have ku and k-state been working together? KU is getting its house in order while we pretend they are our friend. This whole "this meeting is just in case" b.s. is laughably transparent, yet our prez seems to be buying it.
