Maybe MWC is trying gussy themselves up to be as close to a "super conference" as they possibly can be . . . Boise State makes 10, they then get to pick amongs the carcass of the Big 12 refugees.
If they add Boise State, that means they will have schools that have played in a combined 5 BCS bowl games in the last 5 years. Toss in Baylor, ISU, and K-State, that's 3 former BCS conference schools. Applying for a BCS automatic just got a lot easier, and a lot harder for the BCS to deny.
