Perfectly fine IMHO.  I think eggs would be a nice touch.  Imagine NU team running out onto the field and getting pelted with thousands of eggs.

Cincinnati? Been to two BCS bowl games in a row (granted out of the weak Big East and lost both). Decent sized city that will bring in at least a portion of Ohio. Good basketball history (Fox doesn't care, but it doesn't hurt).

It's all moot because I still think Texas & Co. are gone.

BITB says they could look into making a run at KSU, KU, and MU. Might have mentioned Memphis. Can't remember. Said they would have to restructure since they don't have equal teams in basketball and football.

If the Nubs are right and they really are getting the nod, with MU's invite contingent upon ND's move (of which I think is contingent upon UT and the rest of BIG XII South), I think this could work out really well for the BigXII (soon to be Big XIV but we can keep the Big 12 emblem, just go Big ten style and incorporate the #14 somehow).

Think about it, with NU gone we can go out and raid the MWC of TCU, BYU, and Utah. All 3 fit pretty well regionally and this would bring balance to the north and south, at least #'s wise. Also, the Big XIV would capture a greater TV market - the whole state of UTAH!.  Plus mormons have lots of money cause they never have fun.

Our conference would be stronger in both fb and basketball with the three additions. Thank god we're finally getting rid of that bloody vag colored school up North and becoming a real power conference.

I really don't get why Big XII isn't trying to expand with this whole fiasco. Hell, why not see if we can make our own 16 team conference. Along with getting TCU, BYU and Utah, they could pull Lousiville and Memphis (or Arkansas).

Like I said, they'd have to restructure. Might mean the likes of DePaul, Providence, St. Johns, and maybe Marquette could be kicked out. All speculation and BITB just mentioned it in passing to a caller so in reality it probably wouldn't/couldn't work out.

It's all about revenue. Nebraska voted against revenue sharing, ensuring UT's ability to rake in big money without having to share. With Nebraska gone, any team(s) replacing them would vote for revenue sharing. Texas doesn't want that so they will go to the Pac-10. Even though the Pac-10 shares revenue, they'd still be making a lot more than they would in the Big XII. OU, A&M, etc. don't want to be stuck in a lame duck conference so they're going to hitch their wagon to that while they can.
