Not if there are two undefeated BCS teams elsewhere. An undefeated BCS team has never been passed up by a one loss team. It will be much easier to go undefeated in the new Big 10 conference than the Pac 16. Also, don't forget that the SEC is still a superior football conference to both of these mega leagues, and has had an undefeated team passed up.

If you're Texas in the Big 12, the only really good team you have to beat to go to the national championship is OU. If you lose to OU, some other BCS game will still take you. If you're Texas in the Pac 16 and you lose to OU, you're probably not even going to the BCS, let alone the Rose Bowl, as OU and USC will be getting invites.

Can't see Texas giving up the degree of control over the conference that they have now.  As it is, most Big 12 fans are an extension of Texas:
1.  Their wives want to screw a minority
2.  Their kids start wetting the bed
3.  They want to steal something
4.  Consumption of Lone Star and Pearl beer has risen dramatically in the Big 12 coverage area.

I kind of think the BITB has it wrong.  It's about sharing revenue not the stupid ass Rose Bowl.  NU was the vote that blocked revenue sharing.  Anyone we'd replace NU with would vote to share revenue.  So if you're UT, do you stay in the Big 12 with a mediocre TV deal anway and share with a bunch of tards OR go to the Pac-16 and while you'll share revenue, you'll make a sh*t ton more money than you would in the Big 12 (or even if you "partnered" with the Pac-10 with some stupid scheduling thing).  And if you're UT at any given point you can do whatever the hell you want and more wherever the hell you want (i.e. become an independent) if you think you can start your own network.  

With "super conferences" they would be almost forced to move towards a playoff type situation anyway.
