There is nothing binding at this point.

There is no law that the schools must stay together.

All there is, is a meaningless statement that there is a joint affiliation between the schools in the Big XII.

Followed it up by saying it doesn't matter though, because there isn't a conference that wants either KU/K-State.

We should also disclose that we have been working with MWC folks on possible board partnerships as well (i.e. sharing hosting and perhaps a pool of moderators).  The possibility of a big time Big XII board like ours has a lot of them pretty excited.  While the SEC deal would line my pockets with more green, the MWC would still allow the mods to enjoy some pretty nice perks.

Well, if you answered the EVO we got you, you would have known we had an emergency meeting and decided transparency was best.   We don't want a goemawcopycat type disaster on our hands here.

My EVO's battery kept dying.  I missed the meeting too.  

How much for each of us are we talking if EMAW gets in the SEC?

common knowledge is that a ksu bbs is worth about 30k in the Big XII, so the numbers I get say we can safely double that value.  Once we set up a pay membership (which the SEC schools demand) then that's prob another 10k.

i have some ideas can can probably come close to doubling the current paying membership estimate. it has to do with the blogs. also, my t-mobile contract isn't up for another three weeks, so i haven't even turned my evo on yet. please refer any communication over this time period to my old cell #. thanks. still don't agree w/ talking about this on the main boards though. did sd agree to this?

I think that the conference size default requirement will be set by whatever the Big 10 does, regardless whether the PAC-10 goes to 16 or not.

If the Nubs are right and they really are getting the nod, with MU's invite contingent upon ND's move (of which I think is contingent upon UT and the rest of BIG XII South), I think this could work out really well for the BigXII (soon to be Big XIV but we can keep the Big 12 emblem, just go Big ten style and incorporate the #14 somehow).

Think about it, with NU gone we can go out and raid the MWC of TCU, BYU, and Utah. All 3 fit pretty well regionally and this would bring balance to the north and south, at least #'s wise. Also, the Big XIV would capture a greater TV market - the whole state of UTAH!.  Plus mormons have lots of money cause they never have fun.

Our conference would be stronger in both fb and basketball with the three additions. Thank god we're finally getting rid of that bloody vag colored school up North and becoming a real power conference.

If the Nubs are leaving, I don't think Texas will stay. Nebraska was a vote they need to not have to share revenue.

It's my understanding that our conf owns the rights to "Big 14 and Big 16".  Funny how our conf saw into the future well enough to think that expansion to 16 may occur, yet didn't see anything like what is going on now happening.
