I'm betting we end up using the money to start up a couple of non-revenue sports.
I would be okay with a wrestling/rugby team. What if our new east coast friends make us get a lacrosse team? We would get SLAUGHTERED

Try softball & soccer
I firmly believe, if this conference is to move forward and prosper, outside of expansion, increasing rights deals, etc., we need to do two things:
1) We need to create a much stronger academic consortium that unites our conference schools in research with the purpose of raising the academic ratings of our member schools.
2) Create and/or expand the set of "core sports" that we require member schools to participate in. This means KSU would need to add soccer and softball, Iowa State needs to add baseball, etc. We look like a second rate conference because we treat a lot of non-revenue sports like a buffet that you can pick and choose from. If money isn't the issue it once was, we should expect our schools to step up to the plate and create a much more united front in this regard.
