So UT can use the Big12 to start a relationship with ND with the hopes of it blossoming into something bigger where they are together in FB. Again, UT really couldn't care less about the Big12 other than it's a place to keep their teams until they can swing something better. All we are is a place that allows them to have a place to park all of their sports while they make money off LHN. For the record, UT is going to make a shitload of money no matter what, so I have no problem using that to make KSU $$$ and keep them relevant as well.
