They've never been good at controlling leaks over there. But, agreed, it looks bad. No worse than OU and Texas actually having regents meetings enabling them to leave whenever though.I guess I'm not worried that this really holds things up.
ho's don't talk back to their pimp. it's rude.
deep down, this thing turning on a dime (or at least the appearance that it is turning on a dime) is too good to be true. I mean, the hopeful result is common, logical sense (i.e. stability is gained with an nfl model, not mlb model) however if everything to this point was "spin", what's to say that it still isn't? Beebe is a wonderful fall guy for OU and/or UT when they leave. OU practically sounds like NU did (after they left). I'm not sold (but happier than I was when I woke up).
Oh, I'm sure it's not "over".
These schools have had a couple of weeks to really look at other options and see what's truly out there. I'm sure they've gotten feedback from big donors, politicians, power players, etc. I'm sure they know what plays are out there, and in the end, they probably realized what everyone already knew, and that's that the money here will be just as good, it's what the fans want, it's what the schools want, it's what the states want, and it's probably their best option.
If things have turned around on a dime this fast, and UT ultimately will concede a lot of things we didn't think they would, it probably means someone political sat them down and told them to play nicey nice and get a deal done.
And, because you screwed up, you get TCU now. Have a nice day.
