Hilarious how Texas still owns you even after you cried and left the conference.
Good one

I'd pay to watch us beat Texas.

The last two Pwnership Bowls were priceless....or, maybe $25 ppv.

Actually, this article describes something that happened quite often with Nebraska football--Corn games that you'd think would be televised on Fox or ESPN ended up being made available only on PPV.  Everyone knew who the biggest Rubes in the conference were, and set up their PPV schedule accordingly.

Wow, he's an obsessive little dude isn't he?

Paranoia in Cornhole Country about Texas is absolutely over the top, so much so, they just flat out couldn't handle it anymore.

Why I bet eventually every Texas home game will end up on the Longhorn Network.

Yeah, even OU-Texas may end up on the Longhorn Network.   :jerk:

Yeah, Cornhole is so big in the Big 10, they're afraid to tell Cornhole nation exactly when Cornhole is going to finally get a full share of the Big 10 TV revenue.

But then again, Chancellor Chicken and Doctor Steroid Tap are still telling the Cornhole lemmings that Cornhole is going to the Big 10 because of "academic fit".

I realize that you were probably born around 1980 and that you're still wet behind the ears. But NU was looking to join the Big 10 back in the 60's. They had interest then but Devaney didn't have the pull to get it done. Run along sonny

Bob Devaney wanted to run away from Oklahoma, because Oklahoma was kicking Nebraska's ass more times than not, of course OU completely drubbed Cornhole in the 50's, and then Bob the Drunk came along and Cornhole actually made a little headway, but still lost 6 to OU in the 60's, then lost 9 out 10 to OU between 1972 and 1980 including in the Orange Bowl (and the look on Doctor Steroid Taps face was priceless, he finally beat OU and then he had to play them again in the Orange Bowl and Cornhole lost).

Cornhole cannot handle getting dominated, they wanted to run away from OU (and of course K-State and KU were dominating the Big 8 in Basketball at the time while Cornhole hoops did nothing) and now they're running away from Texas.

Strange, when OU went through a down period I never heard them crying about losing to Cornhole and wanting to run away.

lol.

I would add that every organization seeks to set up the playing field to it's own benefit.  The haves typically set the rules and history always repeats itself.  Having said that how long until Ohio State (the big school from the North) does what Texas did (the big school from the South) and starts changing conference rules and telling Nebraska what to do.  They are the ones in position to do so and not the other way around.  It will happen...it may be a while but it will happen.

btw, it is no coincidence that Nubb loses AAU the same year they run from Texas and towards Ohio State (the perceieved kinder of the two bullies).  Who do you think pulled some strings to oust Nubb from the AAU?  some laughing Texans or some Buckeyes already looking for ways to acquire leverage for future dealings?
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

I believe it. It would make sense for them to take the one game in the year that they will undoubtedly lose off of national tv and hide it on the Longhorn Network.

Ah yes, It only took  a couple of posts for Daxipad to come swooping in with his spin. Love the DaxiPad revisionist post's. He puts his little spin on things and it becomes the "Gospel according to DaxiPad".

Actually Devaney coached at Michigan State and loved the Big 10 and felt that NU would be a better fit there. This was all BEFORE the 60's when he arrived. At least get your facts straight before you spout off moron.

You spend more time on the Husker sites researching our program than you know about your own. Your envy is PRICELESS!!

NU is running TO a conference that is overall more competitive and challenging than the Texas 10. I'll bet you drive a spotscar to help with your penis envy as well.

EXACTLY!

NU fans have been paying for non-con pay per views for years.

Besides, playing on the UT network in the State of Texas isn't exactly bad for recruiting.  I could care less, really.  It's something that an OU/OSU writer gets upset about, clearly.

College Football Data Warehouse is not a "husker site" KlonPride/Blackshirts13.

But let me get this straight, Bob "the Drunk" Devaney wanted the Corn to go to the Big 10, before he was even at Cornhole?

You're literally aping K-State boards all over the Internet with your constant need for affirmation and validation, yet I am the one with "penis envy"?   Classic.

I just found this interesting.  Its bad when TX real rival (b/c they can't beat us, always beat Nebs) wrote this hatchet piece and still made this concession.

OT: Will the Longhorn network be available on DirecTV without requiring me to pay extra?  If it's something that is supposed to help recruiting in Texas, it wouldn't make sense to charge people for it, IMO.
