The ACC made it so, while they all get paid like crap, winners such as Clemson, Florida State, or whoever can get more by winning the conference championship and come out close to B10/SEC levels.  The story was that Utah was interested in gambling the $15m difference between the B12 and ACC on winning the ACC championship.

An Oregon State fan started the rumor Saturday on X and a sports writer took off with this news and started an article on it.  It blew up from there.  It's rumored that the OSU fan was hoping Utah would leave the Big XII to make an open spot for OSU since they have Wrestling in the Big XII. LOL

That's what happens when a person blindly takes one's word as truth.  Yes MC, OSU is not a member of Big XII wrestling.  I'll take the "L".   The whole UU to the ACC was a crook of crap and it was started by an OSU fan.  I'm now hearing they have a stick up their asses about the Big XII not inviting them to join.
