1. I used to hate the idea of "pods" but if we can go to 16 it really could work out very nicely to keep regional rivalries and keep playing all teams regular enough to not feel like you're in separate conferences altogether.
KU, K-State, OSU, & CU would be dreamy
Why do you hate Farmageddon?
Maybe down the road, but with 16 teams pods can easily be 3 games vs your pod, 1 "permanent" cross pod team from the other 3 pods, and then the other 3 games you play is from each pod and rotate home/away yearly so the longest you'd go w/o playing any school is 6 years, you could even rotate it in such a way that every 6 years you play everyone home/away but don't go more than 3 years of playing one.
So like
Pod East
WVU
UCF
Cincy
ISU
Pod Central
KSU
KU
OSU
CU
Pod Tejas
Houston
TT
TCU
Baylor
Pod West
Oregon
Zona
BYU
Washington
And like if it's the KSU qhats, you're playing each year KU, OSU, CU, and your permanent cross pods are ISU, TT, Zona (or whoever). Then the other 3 flip like
Year 1 Oregon, @UCF, TCU
Year 2 @Washington, WVU, @Houston
Year 3 BYU, @Cincy, Baylor
Year 4 @Oregon, UCF, @TCU
Year 5 Washington,
@WVU, Houston
Year 6 @BYU, Cincy, @Baylor
For example.
But honestly as quickly as things change schools will come and go so it'll be a rollercoaster regardless.
