Why wouldn't they just play 1 v 10, 2 v 9, etc?

1v10 and 2v9 won't work...odd number of 2nd round games.  Probably 7v10 and 8v9 play wed. then winner of 7v10 plays 2 and winner of 8v9 plays 1.  4 plays 5 and 3 plays 6 on thurs and go from there.
