I am not referring to Larry Scott, as he would be an idiot to keep or present any documentation.  I was talking about the top dogs that were fired.  Where I worked we had a crooked CEO and the company spent over 5 million collecting information and documentation.  They ended up with a shitload of incriminating evidence and took him to court.  You would be amazed at what they can dig up.  BTW, we were told to keep all our files for a minimum of two years before we were allowed to get rid of them.

The Pac-12's current media rights deal with Fox and ESPN expires July 1, 2024.

Nobody in power at those media companies really gives two shits about the optics.  Kirk Schulz is such a dork. It’s certainly possible that someone used that excuse to delay the finalization of a deal, but that’s not any reason to prevent a deal from being finalized. Companies announces expansion plans after layoffs all the time.

Gun to my head, my guess is that Colorado and Arizona announce their intention to jump first, Washington and Oregon announce next (to big 10), Arizona State announces shortly after, and Utah announces only after every non-Mormon soul in their state has accepted the full reality of being effectively back in lower tier conference.

The conference has lost (or is losing) some of its best rivalries, but if we can get the Holy War and the Battle in the Desert to go with Farmageddon, renewed spiciness of the Sunflower Showdown, Cincy-WVU, the Revivalry, Tech and Okie St revving up their “who stole it” thing, and UCF-Houston making a big deal of the space king thing there’s some good potential there.
