this is an awesome league to us.  not to mu or ku.  both would have one foot out the door from the beginning and that's why any scenario with ku AND ksu AND mu in it is highly unlikely.

Agreed. That league would be pretty damn good. That's probably the best new Big 12 idea I've seen yet.

No probably not.    

Just need to do everything we can to help Mountain West get Automatic BCS bid.   Now that they've added Boise State, if they add 2 former Big 12 schools it will likely help out the cause extensively.  

K-State is not wanted in the SEC, Pac-10, or Big East . . . it's not personal.  K-State is in a small state with another D1 school.    The opportunity to get K-State gussied up for this day was 7 to 10 years ago, and the people in control at K-State were so buried in "just happy to be here" mode they didn't do anything to prepare K-State for what we have today.    Tim Weiser and Jon Wefald all gung ho to get their affirmative action hire only put another nail in the coffin.

From the Big East.   But they'll be 5 16 team "BCS" leagues not 4.   To risky from a legal and political standpoint . . . with 5 you severely weaken political opposition, with just 4 you have immense political opposition.   JMO.

i think they are interested in KU, MU.......and ksu.  But not just KSU.  At least if I was the Big East I wouldn't.

So with that scenario unfolding it would either be the Big East or Mountain West emerging as the 5th 16 team conference to round out the SEC ACC BIG 16 and PAC 16?  I'm assuming it looks more likely the Big East would get that 5th spot.

What's happens if the Big East starts to get poached by the Big 10 and the ACC  if the ACC gets poached by SEC?  Is there room for us then in the Big East?

It appears that if we can keep at least 4 Big 12 teams in the Big 12, and then  lure at least 6 teams who have all been in a conference together for 5 years, then we can achieve an amazing windfall.

Big East or the MVC would fit the profile.
