If more teams = less money than why is every conference wanting to add teams?
They're adding good teams that bring value to the conference. Not that hard to understand.
I think you overestimate the current value of said conference, kim.
Adding teams that consistently sell out good sized venues usually means that they have fans that care. And if they have fans that care, they have fans that watch TVs.
West Virginia may not be huge, but they have plenty of people who care about WVU football, and it gets us into parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Louisville gets us into parts of Indiana and Kentucky.
I mean, for God's sakes, adding Louisville and WVU alone gives us some firepower against the Deathstar basketball conference the ACC has assembled. If anything, ten games a year against KU, MU, Louisville, West Virginia, and Iowa State has to at least make you somewhat excited.
