So BITB is going bonkers today on this idea that was apparently floated by Jim Delaney to make freshman ineligible in both basketball and football.

Freshman used to not be eligible.  The idea has some merit but demands further study.  It would seem more applicable to football than basketball, because so many freshman RS in football.

I also agree with Charles Barkley that it should be two years minimum for b-ball players.   I think the NBA would be better . . . Just MHO.

You would hope it would force the NBA to make a change and maybe that is the only thing it is trying to accomplish. Btw, the blue bloods are going to go bonkers about this idea. Hurts them more than anyone else.

How so? Seems like they would benefit the most.

The NBA would have better play if they took their players straight from high school. But the one and done rule is good for marketing.
